Board of Directors

Udhay Mathialagan
Chair
Udhay Mathialagan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group, responsible for investments in data infrastructure in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2018, Udhay was the Chief Executive Officer of a global telecom portfolio management company in Singapore. Previously, he held senior roles at Macquarie Capital and Crown Castle in Sydney, Australia. He also founded and led Insight Infrastructure, an Asia-focussed telecom tower company that was acquired by American Tower. Udhay holds a Master of Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands.
Jonathon Sellar
Jonathon Sellar is a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Australia in Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group, responsible for the asset management function in Australia. Jonathon joined Brookfield in 2010, following Brookfield’s acquisition of the Australian-listed company, Prime Infrastructure, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer since 2002. Previously, he held senior roles at InterGen Australia and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jonathon holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the Queensland University of Technology and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since 1996.
Felix Chan
Felix Chan is a Senior Vice President in Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group, responsible for portfolio management of data infrastructure assets in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Brookfield, Felix held roles as Chief Financial Officer at Tarantula Global, General Manager Commercial Development and Alliances at NBN Co Limited and was the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder at Insight Infrastructure. Felix holds a Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and is a member of CPA Australia.

Management Team

Malcolm Roe
Chief Executive Officer
Malcolm is responsible for the leadership, direction, and performance of DCI’s business. Malcolm is an experienced data centre executive, having established Metronode as a leading Australian data centre services provider. Prior to joining DCI, he was Vocus Group’s Head of Strategic Projects. He subsequently cofounded Open Edge dc, an edge computing start-up whose activities have now been absorbed into DCI.
Diana McFarlane
Chief Financial Officer
Diana is responsible for the accounting and reporting, tax, treasury, finance, shared services and internal controls for DCI’s portfolio. She has more than 15 years’ experience across the banking, infrastructure and integrated logistics sectors, and has worked in a variety of senior finance roles with businesses such as Credit Suisse, Qube Holdings and Moelis Australia.
Richard Burley
Chief Commercial Officer
Richard is responsible for the sales and commercial management of DCI’s business. He has worked for challenger businesses in the finance, energy and telecommunications sectors. He has held a variety of ownership, advisory and executive roles in data infrastructure related businesses. Prior to joining DCI, Richard was an Executive General Manager, responsible for the Defence & Government business of Nextgen Networks which was acquired by ASX-listed Vocus Group.
Verghese Jacob
Chief Technology Officer
Verghese is responsible for the technology strategy, direction and project delivery for DCI. He has extensive experience managing all aspects of data centre project development across Asia Pacific, including corporate safety and environment, business unit risk management, carrier facilities access, building services design and construction. He established his own company, FMevolution in 2007, where he continued to program and project manage the delivery of world-leading designed data centres for clients such as Woolworths, Pacnet (now Telstra), DXC.technology, Metronode (now Equinix) and AirTrunk.
Chris Heffernan
Head of Operations
Chris is responsible for managing the teams that deliver operational excellence at DCI’s Australian data centres. He has a strong record in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of complex critical systems infrastructure and provides strategic and technical advice on major facility relocation and data centre projects across Asia and Australia.
Ras Scollay
Senior Vice President of Business Development
Ras Scollay has 25 years executive-level experience across the data centre, cloud, and telecommunications industries, which has allowed him to innovate with leading international and local businesses to create new revenue streams and drive business growth. As the Senior Vice President, Asia, he is responsible for the investment strategy and business development across the region for DCI Data Centers. Based in Singapore, Ras has built long-term relationships across Asia having worked in the region for over 12 years. Being commercially minded, he has been intrinsically involved in large-scale infrastructure projects, including the development of two new-build hyperscale data centers near Tokyo, Japan. He has a Master’s degree from The University of Manchester in Business Administration, including Finance and Private Equity, Strategic Project Coordination, and Marketing and Operations.
Chris Clarkson
Head of Business Development
Chris is the Head of Business Development (South Australia & Northern Territory) with more than 20 years’ experience in ICT. Chris has built strong interworking relationships working with American, Japanese, Chinese and French multi-nationals that have delivered big data and high-performance computing solutions across Asia Pacific. With his ICT experience he has also consulted to what was the South Australian Office of the Chief Information Officer and held senior roles at Huawei, Hitachi, Symantec, SGI, Sun Microsystems and SAS.
Paul Haley
Technical Project Manager
Paul Haley has extensive technical experience with business-critical infrastructure, managing large commercial facilities and leading teams to ensure operational excellence prevails in highly secure data centres. With 14 years of experience in the ICT industry, together with his electrical engineering background, Paul Haley is pivotal to the new data centre construction project in New Zealand. Initially, Paul will hold the role of Technical Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of the construction project before transitioning to lead the DCI operations team where he will be responsible for the operations of the New Zealand data centres. Paul Haley is a fervent environmental supporter, a qualified electrician and has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics from Auckland University of Technology.

It states that an organisation: Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

The ISO 14001 standard is based on the international standard defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It establishes the requirements for the correct implementation and operation of a sustainable environmental management system.

Business Continuity Management
Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems The ISO 22301 standard is based on the international standard defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It establishes the requirements to implement, maintain and improve a management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of the occurrence of, prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptions when they arise.

Information Security
ISO 27001 is awarded by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the main certifier in the development and publication of international standards. It defines the appropriate model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing and managing Information Security Management Systems.
ISO 45001
Occupational Health and Safety Management
Occupational Health and Safety Management The ISO 45001 standard is based on the international standard defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.
PCI-DSS
Financial Transactions
The PCI standard was created in 2006, by a board formed by the largest credit card brands in the world. From there, the standard level of IT security required to process data of this type was established. Thus, the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification guarantees the security of the environment and the protection of data from transactions made with credit cards.
SCEC Zone 3
Certified
The Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) is a standing inter-departmental committee responsible for the evaluation of security equipment for use by Australian Government departments and agencies. SCEC is also responsible for the SCEC Security Zone Consultant scheme, SCEC Approved Locksmith scheme, and SCEC endorsed Courier scheme.
